HDTV Compatible with Basic RF Cable Service?

I am planning on buying an HDTV before Christmas but stil have a few questions. First off here is the tv I plan to buy.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8866...

And I was wondering will basic cable (you know, the kind that comes right out of the wall and plugs into the RF) work fine with this TV? I do plan to eventually upgrade to an HD Service, but as for now all I want is to game with my Xbox 360 in HD and watch Blu-Ray on my PS3.

And what exactly is an HD Antenna?

-Thanks

Heres the kind of cable I mean

And I just have basic Comcast Cable service

It will tune analog basic, and could tune some unencrypted digital channels, some possibly being HD.

An "HD" is an erroneous marketing term for a digital antenna, which is built to receive stations on what will be left of the TV spectrum next year. You don't really need one.

If this helps you any I bought a hdtv from best buy also, I bought the Westinghouse 32 inch hdtv and I have comcast digital cable and it works pretty good. If you get hd which I don't have hooked up it is supposed to make the picture awesome. My question though is the same, if you buy one of those hd antennas will that work without hd service? Go for the t.v. though I'm happy with mine although at times I do notice like little lines near words or something but no big deal, it would probably not be there if I had hd but overall I'm happy with my t.v. and they don't show up all the time. Well I was going to show you my t.v. that I bought from the best buy site but they no longer have it, hope thats not a bad thing? Well anyway good luck and I do say again, go for it....you will love it!!!

Your TV will work fine with Comcast...you'll get about 70 channels with no problem.

You DON'T need an HD antenna, it's just a standard antenna, with salemen's LIES attached.

So why pay for the extra attachments?
