What makes for a good garden compost.?

Yes, you may add fertilizer or horse manure.

Remember the composting material needs to be moist throughout. Water it and cover them just to keep moist.

Before using any human waste material remember it has bacteria that could cause illness the same is true with cats and dogs....the only manure to add to it would be from grass eating animals only.......and horse manure needs a very long time before it's usable and won't burn your plants. Cow manure is just fine to use right away. I've always gone with leafy green, yellow and brown material for the compost.

Using compost in the garden creates Less Need for Fertilizer's.

You can add almost anything to your compost bin, including, human hair and nail clippings, old weeds from the garden, even the contents of your vac bag.

Nettles, and human urine, are a good compost activator.
