Do you think the Jets would like to have Pennington back?

There is just one week left in the regular season and the 10-5 Miami Dolphins are on the verge of making history if they can defeat the 9-6 New York Jets. Although the Jets had a horrible 2007 going just 4-12 the 2007 Dolphins who went 1-15 could be argued as one of the worst in the history of the NFL. The New York Jets added a quarterback many people feel is the best in the games history, Brett Favre. While the Dolphins hired football guru Bill Parcells, who brought in the never been head coach Tony Sparano. Never since his days at New Haven. And recently released quarterback Chad Pennington from the NFC East rival New York Jets. Below the Pennington and Favre comparison are my questions.

Favre in 2008

323-482, 67.0%

3239 Yards, 21 Touchdowns, 19 Interceptions

84.0 Passer Rating

43 Rushing Yards, 1 Touchdown

30 Times Sacked, Lost 213 Yards

10 Fumbles, 2 Lost

Pennington in 2008

299-466, 67.0%

3453 Yards, 17 Touchdowns, 7 Interceptions

96.4 Passer Rating

60 Rushing Yards, 1 Touchdown

23 Times Sacked, 114 Yards Lost

2 Fumbles, 0 Lost

Question 1:

Do you think the Jets wished they had Pennington?

Question 2:

Do you think Pennington could be argued as league MVP?

Question 3:

What do you think the week 17 score between the Jets and Dolphins will be?

The Jets are now understanding why the Packers did not want Favre back. He is the most over rated QB in history. He will keep your team out of the playoffs and if you are lucky enough to get there he will quickly remove you from the playoffs with stupid plays. He is a choke artist and a lousy field general. Romo wants to be just like him and that is why, as a Cowboy fan, I would like to Cassel here next year and Romo on the bench. And all of the Favre and Romo lovers can give me all the thumbs down you want. History proves me right.

Pennington is getting entirely too much credit for the Phin's turnaround. Likewise, Favre is getting too much "credit" for the Jets late season struggles. Miami, along with Atlanta, have surely been the most impressive stories in the league this year. However, I think it's unfair to say that Pennington is THE reason for the Dolphins success. Parcells, Sporano, Ronnie Brown, and Ricky Williams have all made significantly more of a contribution than Chad. The Jets would be bottom feeders without Favre. The Dolphins would have been successful this year with any competent QB. For the record... i think the Dolphins win this game.

I am a Jet fan and after last night, i would like to have chad back.

Brett favre bought excitement and energy to the team in the beginning of the season that produced results. That ended about a month ago and Favre right now is doing what he does best. Throwing games away. As a loyal fan i think i might have been the only one screaming to not allow brett favre to play for the jets. We had no business picking him up for the excitement of just a season and maybe even next year. We should have someone young and full of potential like Flacco and Ryan to build up on. As far as the game next weak........If coach mangini continues to coach the way he has been, The jets season will be over as if it isn't already. Jets will lose next week.

No, the Jets don't wish they had Pennington. Those numbers are inflated by Pennington playing in the warmer weather of Miami. His numbers have always sucked as the weather has gotten colder. He would have his typical NYJ numbers if he was still playing for them. Pennington will bot be league MVP as Kerry Collins has had a better season. Everyone thought Collins was done, and was not going to play much behind V. Young, and has led the Titans to the number 1 seed. Pennington will likely finish #2 or #3 in the voting. If I had to predict a score for the Jets-Dolphins, I would think that it will be a close game, as both could make the playoffs (with the right chain of events for the Jets), so I will call it 21-17 Miami.

I agree it would be superb to make certain the Dolphins take the Jets down, even nonetheless this is extra a rely of practise. The Dolphins discover remarkable the thank you to win video games by making use of thoroughly throwing off the Defenses they play. yet while shall we see Pennington out gun Favre that should make for a great afternoon!

To be honest no. They were done with giving Pennington chances.

Just because he's having success in Miami this year doesn't mean he would have had the same kind of success with the Jets. They run two totally different offenses.

    1) I bet they're kicking themselves in the @ss now

    2) Not at all, Warner has even dropped out of this. Pennington's not even the MVP of his team.

    3) I'm rooting for the Pats to win and a Jets win, even though I hate both teams, Eric Mangina is a biznitch and the Phins have girlie uniforms

    1. Perhaps. But they can't have him back. NEENER! NEENER! NEENER!

    2. Doubtful. While he's done a good job in Miami he's not putting numbers up like Drew Brees or Phillip Rivers.

    3. 35 - 3, Miami.
