i love Pitbulls wats wrong with everyone else? ?

i love pits too, they r very beautiful creatures, with a bad rep. its sad and i feel bad for them! :(

Actually, there are a lot of people who like pitbulls. what do you find inhabiting most of all dog pounds? recycler has like 30 adds for pit bulls. there's just so many everywhere!

maybe your pit bull is sweet, but every dog is an individual. I would not hold something against a breed of dog but rather a dog in particular. I'm sure your dog is not the representative of his breed ;)

and think about it. many people are afraid of certain dogs because they had a bad experience. so what you're saying isthat people who have been attacked and hurt by mean dogs are wrong in avoiding similar animals in the future?

I see why it may offend you that people don't like your dog because of what another dog did, but you shouldn't judge them before you even know their story.

It is because of their track record, their history with violence and to deny that it exists simply doesn't stop the facts from being facts.

That being said, a lot of dogs have bad raps for various reasons.

NOT just pit bulls.

Take poodles for instance, high strung, hyper, not good with kids and yappy! Ya right.

Not true for the majority. Poodles are laid back mellow dogs that are highly adaptable and rarely bark.

So don't feel bad it happens everywhere in the canine kingdom.

Just enjoy your dogs.

You know whats worse?

People that are constantly saying that they're angels and perfect and that "their pit" would never do a damn thing.

There are two sides to every coin. Dog fighting is a small majority- and its actually the lesser of the reason that people dislike them- MOST people dislike them because idiots breed them without health and temperament tests and release dogs that are unstable and aggressive out into the world- this also stems from people who believe that "red" and "blue" noses make the dog a breed- which it doesn't.

I've been working with this breed for quite some time now and can tell you that yes, they are great dogs. But there are still horrible dogs within that breed- just as there are bad dogs all over the place.

A lot of people get the wrong idea aout pits...

They are very good dogs, providing they are brought up that way. They are also good protectors and can be very mean if mistreated when young. This is why people get such a bad image of them. They are exceptional family dogs and very good with kids, they are great members of the family as long as they are treated right!

Pit Bulls are gorgeous loving Dogs, with a bad Reputation. My Cousin has 3 ( All Rescued) and they are the SWEETEST dogs ever! I think people need to look on the inside of the breed and not its looks.

Maybe because when they are being aggessive there jaws lock down and they do NOT let go. We own two very lovable ones, but I still don't care much for them. (they are my son and hubby's) My daughter and fiancee live across the street. They have two they have raised together. They are very loving to them and have raised them to be loveable to anyone pretty much. But one of them is very aggressive and got in with ours one day and caused so much trouble trying to kill one of ours. It took 3 adults to get him off of ours and one of the adults got bit. Lots of blood everywhere, ended with 3 dogs being hurt pretty bad. I worry what if when my dd has kids and this should happen when she is home only with no men to get the dog off of the child. Or what if it clamps down on a little dog. There is NO luck for the little one. I for one feel sorry for these dogs because they are so loving, but also want them gone because in the long run they could really hurt someone.

Pits are awesome dogs. Loyal and strong.

They are often aggressive if not trained properly though, and this is where the problem resides. Many people don't take the time to train them and that results in attacks and all around violence.

I don't know why people are so mean to them! Humans themselves are the people who started the thing where SOME of them were vicious because they bred them for fighting. Most pit bulls now are very sweet! I agree with you!

pits are such pretty dogs! people think pitbulls are bad and all mean but there is no such thing as a bad dog! its A BAD OWNER!
