I need help connecting to Xbox Live?
I can't connect to Xbox live using my static IP address, even though I've checked and the IP address, the Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway are all what the computer says they are. Also, whenever I go to automatic instead of manual, it doesn't connect at all. This happened when I took my xbox to my friend's house and he thought it would be funny to change my house's wireless network to one that didn't even exist...and now I have this problem. Please help!

If you have to xbox and computer set up as the same IP address you will create a routing issue with your router, so avoid that. Automatic should work as long as your router issues IP addresses to the devices on your network. Try setting your xbox to automatic then resetting your router. That should cause your router to give your xbox all the info it needs.
Good luck, if that dosn't work you will have to go into your router, set a static IP address for you xbox then set all of your information (IP address will be the only thing different from your computer's info) into your xbox.
