just connected my laptop to tv?

i use VGA cables and get a good picture but the volume is limited through my laptop . is there any way to increase the volume using the tv ? or do i need an external amp between the laptop and tv . cheers

    Get the whole thing by using the S-Video connector.

    Only if you connect an audio patch cord from the pc sound out to the tv audio in

    yes, connect using both Video and sound cables to TV. control sound via tv.
