help with this math problem?

Set up the equation for the big cat leg total and small cat leg total then eliminate the units.

1 bus (7girl/bus)(7bag/girl)(7bigcat/bag) = 343bigcats

343bigcat(7smallcat/bigcat) = 2401smallcat

343bigcat(4leg/bigcat) + 2401smallcat(4leg/smallcat) =

1372leg +9604leg = 10976 leg

EDIT::: If you count the girl's legs (14) then you get 10990. If this if for an assignment then I would include both answers.

Answer should be 10976 legs

7 girls = 7x2 = 14 legs

each girl has 7 bags with 7 big cats:

7 girls x 7 bags x 7 big cats x 4 legs = 1,372 legs

each big cat has 7 small cats:

7 girls x 7 bags x 7 big cats x 7 small cats x 4 legs = 9,604 legs

TOTAL = 14 + 1,372 + 9,604 = 10,990 legs.

Why do people keep making comments about a driver? There is no mention of a driver. Don't change the question.

= 14 + 1372 + 9604

= 1386 + 9604

= 10990 legs

each girl 7 bags that means 7x7 ...49 bags and each bag has 7 big cats that means 49x7... 343 big cats and each cat has 4 legs that means = 1372 legs

now the small cats ...

7girls x 7 = 49 bags

49 bags x 7 = 343 big cats

343 big cats x 7 = 2401 small cats

each small cat has 4 legs = 9604 small cat legs

Total: 1386+ 9604 = 10990 legs

well in the end you have to add 2 legs... I mean someone drives the bus no?

Total: 10992 Legs = ( Girls´ legs + bus driver+ all cats)

If those are your homework maybe you should draw something I mean just a small sketch. At this rate you´d get a good overview and you can easy find the result. Good luck ;)

Okay,

There are 7 girls so you would multiply 7 x 2. Which equals 14. So then there are 7 bags with 7 cats in each, so you would multiply 7x7 which equals 49. so then 49 cats have 7 small cats also. So you would multiply 49x7. Which equals 343. so then you would take 343+49 x 4. which equals 1,568+ 14 (which was your peoples legs). for a grand total of 1582 which is your answer.

7 girls times 2 legs each = 14 legs

7girls times 7 bags times 7 big cats= 343 big cats

343 big cats times 4 legs each= 1372 legs

343 big cats times 7 small cats each= 2401 small cats

2401 small cats times 4 legs each= 9604 legs

14+1372+9604= 10980 legs on the bus. How did they all fit? must have been a big bus.

7*2 = 14 long legs = girls (assuming all have two legs)

7 *4 legs on big cats = 28

7*4 small cats legs = 28 little legs

.`. legs on cats = (28^2) times 7 bags = 5488 legs in bags + 14

Total legs on the bus (not including the driver) = 5502

7 girls X 7 bags = 49 bags

Each big cat has 7 small cats for a total of 8 cats

7 big cats per bag means 8 X 7 = 56 cats per bag

49 bags X 56 cats per bag = 2,744 total cats

4 legs X 2,744 cats = 10,976 legs

7 girls X 2 = 14 legs

10,976 + 14 = 10,990

so you go, seven girls inside the bus. So right there is 14, and each girl has seven bags. Inside each bagged or seven big cats. So seven cats times 4 equals 28 in each big cat has seven small cats so you take seven times 4 = 28. So take 14+28+28 equals 70 think it sounds right
