Stowe as the first name... middle name?
So, my husband really wants our boy's first name to be Stowe b/c that's his middle name and the name he goes by. I really like Elijah and was thinking about that as the middle name. The answers for my first question didn't like the two together. Is there anything else you think would be good as a middle name for Stowe?
My husband has never been called Stove growing up... he is however called Stew sometimes!
It's so funny to me that everybody thinks the kid will hate it. My husband abandoned his first name and decided to go by Stowe before his teens. He loves it! My only concern is having two people in the house with the same name.

Well I answered your first question, however I said that I liked it better "Elijah Stowe" than "Stowe Elijah." I can think of lots of ways to keep Stowe in the mix but as a middle name... such as Benjamin Stowe, Jonathan Stowe, etc. I think it sounds good to put a three syllable name before "Stowe." But if you really want Stowe as the first name, how about Stowe Jackson or Stowe Russell?

Stowe is a pretty awful name, so better keep it as a middle name.
Elijah is a really nice name.
But you are right, they don’t go together.
Sorry can't be of more help, as can't think of anything that goes with nicely with Stowe.
EDIT: The above suggestion of Alexander Stowe - is actually really nice.

Sorry.
Don't like that first name at all. Stowe sounds like what you do with stuff when you want to put it away.
Don't give your kid a name they are going to have to explain and spell to people their whole life. Give your son a name like that and I'm sure he'll change it by his teens.
