What can I get a person who does very nice art work?

Okay he has done very nice work and has lost all his supplies because of a fire. For Christmas I wanted to get him the basics to get him started. I will be going to art store in a few minutes. Any suggestions?

Update:

He does more brush paintings... not actual drawings.

Get him a basic set of a good brand of paints in the medium he uses. For example, Liquitex acrylics, Winsor & Newton watercolors, etc. You could also get him a brush; one expensive brush is better than a set of cheap ones. If you really aren't sure, a nice blank sketchbook in a large size is always useful.
