Something fun to do in Seattle around Christmas and New years?
I'm trying to find something fun to do in the city this week right after christmas. Any good ideas?
Also it doesn't have to stay in Seattle, anywhere around Seattle?

Take a ferry from downtown Seattle to Bremerton or to Whidbey Island, get off on the other side and spend some time discovering what's on the other side of the sound. Or take one from Edmonds to Kingston and do the same thing.
Go spend part of the day at Woodland Park Zoo. It's a good one, and there are lots of amazing and entertaining animals there.
Go to the Seattle Aquarium on the waterfront. It's not the best one in the country, but it's pretty good.
Go hang out at the Pike Place Market. The people watching is amazing, and there are lots of unique and interesting shops there.
Pick a reasonably nice day and walk around Green Lake. Or walk through the beautiful University of Washington campus (if you're not already a student and don't already do that every day of the week!)

Go ice skating at Seattle Center! Go see The Nutcracker! Check out the Batman themed gingerbread houses at the Sheraton Hotel!

i admire Seattle at Christmas time and that i think of there is a lot of stuff to do. maximum of that's loose. a number of my favorites: pass to the argosy website and notice the place the Christmas Ships end. grab some warm cocoa and meet at a close-by park and hear Chrismtas song and notice all those exceptionally lights! Greenlake has a lantern walk - December 8th this 12 months i think of. They beautify the path and individuals walk alongside being serenaded by using carolers. tension via candy cane lane Watch "snow" fall at Pacific place down city pass to the Gingerbread properties (elaborately adorned) on the Sheraton hotel. walk around Pike place and downtown in this time - merely plenty exciting and loads of festivities!

Go sledding in Gasworks park if you can.. If you are brave then drive up to Snoqualmie pass in all your winter gear and go innertubing (it will cost you).
Free stuff around town....(check the website first) but at 6:00 in the evening, Pacific Place makes it snow indoors. Then walk up to the Sheraton on 6th avenue to see the Comic Book Hero themed gingerbread houses - there are about 6 of them. You can drive down Candy Cane Lane - buch of houses decorated in the Ravenna/U.District Area.-- always a fun tradition.
