Why does it pain when one is hurt?

In the most literal sense, you feel pain when you are hurt because injury excites the nerve endings that relay messages of pain to the brain. The ability to feel pain evolved because it enables you to take action against whatever is causing it. In general, when you feel pain, it means that your body is being damaged. Something may be cutting into your body or burning it, for example. Because you feel pain, you know that your body is in danger, and you do something about it; you move your hand away from a hot stove, or you pull a splinter out of your finger. If you didn't have the ability to feel pain, you would not have the ability to protect your own body. There is a rare disorder, congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA), which prevents an individual from experiencing pain. Children with CIPA often experience severe injuries because they cannot learn to avoid situations that cause pain.

There' nerves in every part of out body With every physical feeling we get, the nerves in the area sent a message to our brain through the spinal cord and then back to the point of pain. Some feelings, pain, are more severe and receive a more strong message speeding up the reaction to ensure something is done about it.

And in term of biology your cell,sense it and give that signal to your mind and you mind get to know its paining stuff to you body so you get to know.

it's emotions- it how one feels after getting hurt or any thing else. it's kinda hard to explain but it;s just how one feels.
