Flying for first time in winter, what do I do with my coat?

yes they will let you bring it on. you can do several things with it once on the plane.

-take it off while sitting down and just have it in the chair with you

-take if off and hold it/use it as a blanket

-stuff it under the seat infront of you (they allow you to put stuff under the seats infront of you as long as it fits)

-put it in the over head bin.

Yes they will, it will share your seat with you and add extra comfort, you know how uncomfy those seats area! Wear your bulkiest shoes, so you have more room in your suitcase too helps alot I found the last time I flew. Have fun!

yes. they will check it when you put your stuff in the bucket just pack it down in a separate bucket so it will go through.

but if you plan on taking it off in the plane make sure it can fit under the seat in front of you or if there is room in the overhead compartment

yeah, you can either stow it in the overhead compartment or by your feet with your handbag.

but if the plane is really overcrowded then you might not be able to put it up in the overhead compartment
