What to do in Boston (also VT,ME,&NH)?

I will be taking a road trip alone this upcoming weekend from Detroit and ending in NYC on Monday. I plan on at least driving through VT,ME and NH along my way to Boston. So need to know two things. #1 What should I do/see in Boston? (I'll be spending one full day there) #2 Where should I stop & visit on my drive through the other three states?

First Boston: Check out the freedom trail, that gives you the history of the city, and you get to see a good portion of it as well. Check out Quincy Market, it is giant food market, almost like a year round market place. Go to bunker hill if you are into history, that is also where the freedom trail ends.

ME: is a very large state, it all depends on where you are going. I would recommend to go to Bar Harbor. Acadia National Park is located there, and the island is just great. It is one of the few locations that has ocean and mountains combined.

VT: If you are into skiing than this is the place. Great mountains, you can rent skis for the day if you don't want to bring any. If not, check out the local brewery's, there are plenty that offer good local beers.

NH: Also good skiing, but if I were you I would check out Mount Washington. Tallest peak in the northeast, worlds worst weather, and highest non tornado wind recorded speed worldwide. The views from the top are great, on a clear day you can see the ocean several hundred miles away.

    GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN!
