What happens when you mix Ag+ with sand and heat it?
I have some Ag+ that my parents were using for some sort of filter that they sold. I know that if you mix Mg+ with silica sand you get silicon that you can make solar panels and what not with.
If I mixed Ag+ with silica sand and heated it, would the same thing happen? Or would some poisonous explosive gas kill me?
If you can't make silica with it, is there any other fun thing to do with Ag+, I think it was expensive and don't want to waste it.

Ag can probably be used for sort of light filters because silver compounds react with light making element Ag. u can use AgNO3 (if it is the salt you have) to make silver mirror
