splinter cell online co-op cd key help?

my cousin just bought a splinter cell chaos theory pc dvd disc and we both installed the game using the same disc. the problem is, we both also use the same online cd key (sc3-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and the game don't allow us to play together, so is there any way for us to be able to play the co-op game together??
