Am i the only one that feels like religion is absolutely ridiculous?

If there is any part of the bible that is ridiculous, it is the part about "love thy neighbor". I mean, who really agrees with that? Isn't it better to just blame someone else for your problems? Isn't the idea of world peace so far-fetched as to be laughable? Doesn't it seem so sad that people need to live based on a book?

Well, this is actually not how I feel. This is just some of the garbage that I see in this section. The truth of the matter is that the Bible is totally accurate on all matters of justice and truth. It is always used in the interest of compassion for people. It is the basis for civilized humanity. There is no reason for me to believe that world peace, brotherly love or pure honestly can exist without the Word of God. Every other path led us off a cliff.

EDIT: How could God judge someone, if in their mind, he doesn't exist. I see where you are coming from, however. It is God's place to judge. But, if that is true, are you in denial?

I am Agnostic, and saying the Bible makes you laugh, is completely arrogant. You have no idea if there is a God or not. Admit it. I'm not sure that what's in the Bible is true, but I have read it many times, and it's pretty interesting. Don't be so damn arrogant...

not all atheists do and not all religions are. i think of everyone seems to be unfastened to have their opinion nevertheless i visit declare i'm fairly troubled whilst human beings make one assumption or generalization or rude remark some faith appearing as though they understand each thing approximately it. to illustrate, i'm Christian. i've got had human beings "coach" me my faith, i've got study the Bible from conceal to conceal greater desirable than as quickly as, i've got spoken to historians, i've got taken non secular courses, i've got taken philosophy courses, i've got watched documentaries, i've got offered books...and yet even i could not at all declare to renowned all that plenty approximately my faith. Glad you could see through all the political forces trying to shove religion down our throats. It is a very effective way to control the masses. Just, scare the hell out of them!!! It has worked on a lot of folks.

When your in the mob of religion, it's hard to see through the crowds.

But when you step out of the realm of religion, you get to watch the hoards of theists pushing and shoving their way to God.

It's very liberating to watch religion from a distance, and most of the time I find myself doing a good ol fashioned "facepalm"
