what is NOT true about the development of communism in the Soviet Union under Stalin?

1).The availability of consumer goods was minimal.

2).The Soviet Union became a world leader in the production of steel.

3).The quality of life of the Soviet people was dismal.

4).Education continued to decline

    I think it is 4 but I am not sure. I always thought the Soviets put an emphasis on education.

    I am a history teacher but this is not my specialty so I will star this because a contact of mine named Warren is better in this area.

    3) is an opinion, life was pretty dismal under the Tsars. For many people, the standard of living improved a great deal under communism, but it was lower than it was in the west.

    4) is sure not true, their education system was much better than the US education system, and all levels of education were paid for by the govt.
