What are the points for each section on the SAT?

Is this right?:

Critical Reading: 670 points

Mathematics: 540 points

Writing Skills: 490 points

plus 200 points for your name...but that doesn't add up to 2400?

Each of the 3 sections is worth 800 points.

No no, each section is worth the same amount of points: 800. There are a free 200 points on each section for writing your name, so the lowest you could get overall is 600 if you wrote your name. But the total is 800 + 800 + 800 = 2400 points.

That's not correct. The lowest score you can get on these tests is a 200 and a perfect score on each section is an 800. You do not add 200 point for your name (after all, you're in high school and are expected to know how to spell your name - they are not testing you on how to spell your name).

So a perfect score on the SAT is a 2400 (800+800+800) because each section has a perfect score of 800. Your score won't add up to 2400 unless you are a certified genius.
