Somedays, I wonder if I should get out of bed

Cuz anyways

Today will just follow the path that yesterday led

And sometimes, the dreams I have when I’m asleep

Are too impossible to keep

In the real world

Stormcloud that passes in mid-July

It’s there for a second, then it crawls on by

Destroying all promise of refreshing rain

And I know lightning never strikes the same place again

So I, stretch out and try to clear my head

Look, sunrise

It’s beautiful, that’s all they said

Mostly, they only spare a passing glance

They don’t see the blush

Or watch the sparkles dance

Cuz life’s like a

Meteor, streaking across the sky

You blink and it’s like it never came by

Everybody’s asleep, so no one sees

It’s like a star falling in a forest of trees

They say, get your head out of the mist

But they

Never touched a star or kissed

The moon

Aim high, that’s the moral that we follow

But I, see no point in tomorrow

Coming down from where I am like they say

And trying to get up another way

Cuz life’s like the

Sunlight on the forest floor

Even though the foliage blocks it

They only make it more

Beautiful

But nobody strays off the path

Or takes the time to simply laugh

At things that aren’t funny

At all

But I, try to notice the simple things

The way blush creeps up your cheeks

Like sunrise

And the

Sparkle in your eyes

The reflection looks better

Than the first time

Cuz life’s like a

Wave tossed and thrown on the beach

Only a part, but the ocean’s made up of each

Little wave that gives and takes with each passing tide

The water is clear but it has secrets to hide

And when I crawl back into my cocoon

I’ll have to get up soon

To remember

All that I’ve seen that day

It’s like they say

A picture’s worth a thousand words

And everything I’ve heard

Is a picture

Cuz life’s like the

Moment when you finally realize

What you’re searching for is in front of your eyes

A teardrop that pictures the world as a whole

So cup it in your hands and never let go

And never let go
