ING is very easy to use. Basically you "link" your ING savings account to your checking account. Then you can log in to your ING account and transfer money from your ING to your checking, and vice versa. Keep in mind then when you transfer money FROM your checking acct. to your ING account, the money is not available for withdrawal for 10 business days. So if you think you might need the money transferred back to your checking account before 10 business days, you're better off not transferring it all. Transferring money from your ING back to your checking usually just takes one day for the transaction to be completed.

SInce it doesn't cost you anything to open an ING account, go ahead and give it a try for a couple of months. Then if you don't like it, transfer all your money back to your checking account and close your ING account. But I suspect once you try it, you'll keep using it.

Ing is a great place to save, but not so great for day-to-day banking. If you want to use it that way, you would do better going to Bank of America online, or HSBC online. They will issue checks or ATM cards for your use.

ING Direct is a very easy to use account. Interest rates have been coming down though and now they pay only 2.75%.
