if the exercise pinches the nerve you can damage the nerve which is much worse than whatever is pinching the nerve. You body tends to know you more than anyone can. If you have pain in almost all circumstances, you should be doing what you can to make the pain go away naturally.

See a Chiropractor or Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Homeopathy can get rid of the pain, but can't realign body parts that are probably not where they should be. Conventional medicine can't do anything but give you painkillers and offer surgery, which can leave you worse off than you were before. Seated side bends have helped a lot of people -- try them. Hot epsom salt baths and magnesium supplements get rid of muscle spasms.

The fact is there IS a way to end your back pain – forever – and you can do it without expensive drugs, without harmful treatments or surgery, and without having to live a life filled with pain. Check out this site http://www.fastbackpaincure.com/ For decades, big pharma has done everything it can to keep the truth from you.
Sure, your medications, massages and gadgets and gizmos help you reduce your daily symptoms. But, they do NOTHING to get to the root of your problems. And, yes, for the most part, your treatments probably do allow you to “maintain” the status quo – keeping you from getting worse, but they’re not really doing anything to help you get any better.

Most pinched nerves are caused by compression, constriction, or stretching. I'd imagine it really depends on how it's being pinched really.

I don't really exercise that much...but I'm guessing it would make it worse... I would never exercise more if I was in any pain...

that would be the worse thing to do. do not work out, give it time to heal or you will permanently damage yourself
