Keratin bonded hair extensions & chlorinated swimming pools?
Do the chemicals in public swimming pools destroy the bonds in keratin heat bonded hair extensions? My extensions usually last 3-4 months but I want to start going swimming again & need to know before I go swimming if my hair extension bonds will degenerate.
For those of you who say extensions look fake, it depends how they are done! Mine are done very carefully & look just how my own hair was before I stupidly cut it of when I was a teenager. Sadly it has never grown back to the same length hence I love my extensions. Many professional hairdressers don't realise I have got extensions in unless they are shown the bonds.....!

it wont directly affect the growth, but it is damaging your hair which will cause breakage which will affect the growth. I know from experience that all the guys on the swim team in high school have to shave their heads at the end of each season becaue their hair is so damaged it will just stop growing. So if you are on the swim team, try a swim cap, but the best fashion piece but it'll keep your hair healthier and longer!
