When was the first time you read Harry Potter?

I'm ashamed to say that I only started reading the Harry Potter series over the Summer. But hey, better late than never.

For some reason my mother didn't approve of me reading a book that had anything to do with magic.

The first time I read harry potter is when I was 11 I think,my grandma had bought me chamber of secrets for christmas,and well I opened it up and I could just not sit it down. I fell in love with Harry Potter. and ever since I have been obsess and a harry potter addict I always got my book the day it was released and participated i n the harry potter mania. I love Harry Pottterrrrrr for ever and ever.

I read Harry Potter the first time when I graduated college in 2005. I had avoided the whole HP thing during high school and early college until I saw part of the first movie - I liked the movie so I watched the whole thing about 2 weeks before CoS came out. College being busy reading for school, pleasure reading didn't really happen until after I graduated. I fell in love with the books the first time I read them - I now own the complete series in hard back, all of them in paperback except DH (cuz it's not out yet), including Tales of Beedle the Bard, and the school books (Magical Creatures and Where To Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages).

I can't wait for July for HBP in theaters!

In 2000 when I had just turned 11 like Harry and I read the last one when I was 17 like Harry as well. I grew up with Harry Potter and it was a big part of my life.

In 2006 I was 12

When I was 11 years old, I began reading "Harry Potter". I love those books!!! They got me into reading. I read them shortly after they were released. My teacher read the first book to the class, and I bought it because I wanted to read it on my own.

I read the first Potter books when the second movie came out on VHS. My sister would not let me watch the movie unless I read the book. So I read the books and I have loved them ever since.

The first book I just read it like, 2 weeks ago.

Its sad really that, that book has been out since 1998 and I havent had a chance to read it until 2 weeks ago?

I started reading them right after book 3 came out. I finally decided to look into them to find out what the fuss was all about... and fell in love. I waited very impatiently for book 4 and yes... I was one of those freaks who waited in the long lines at midnight to get the book.
