Can keeping in touch be a waste of time?
I have some friends I met over the summer in Japan. Some live Japan, and a couple live in hawaii and texas. I also made a friend at camp who lives in Saudi Arabia. I may or may not see my japan friends again next summer, and I probably won't see my saudi arabia friend again. So is it sort of a waste of time to frequently keep in touch or consider them really good friends?

do what ever you want. I dont think it would be a waste of time, friends are friends
