Are these stereos any good?
JVC KW-XG500, Pioneer FH-P8000PT or Clarion DUZ385SAT
I'm looking at these particular decks because of their size - they would probably fill the hole of my stock '03 Ranger stereo. I don't really want to just plug up the rest of the hole with a plastic plug.
I've read reviews, and they all sound good. I don't need one just yet, but my cd player is starting to skip when it gets bumped. I'd only like to spend around $200 or so. I'd like to know of someone's personal experience. My last aftermarket stereo was a Pioneer Premier, and it seemed to develop problems fairly early. I would like to hook up an iPod connection through my glove box and then use a remote.
OK, I just looked at Crutchfields's filtered list of stereos for my Ranger, and it looks like there are none of the larger faced stereos that fit it. SO, if I could just get some input as to which brands seem to offer the best quality these days...

in my experience clarion has been the best of the 3 but that was about 8 years ago and ive had nothing but alpine since then but out of the 3 id definitely go with clarion but if you can afford an alpine go with that.the clarion is least likely to skip and they did make the first no skip guarantee cd player but i still stand by alpine and thats after trying just about everything on the market.there is a good site with tons of aftermarket products in wich you could probably find anything you want, just go to www.subwoofersetc.com or it might be ect and you can get anything made...sorry if i didnt help...dont count out kenwood either they are comming back strong
