Take a tip from your friends. By that I mean, I'm willing to bet that they don't spend time dwelling on your embarrassing episodes and neither should you.

If you're not endlessly repeating the same incidents then you've learned from them, and it's the lessons you need to remember about the past. Remember though, these things all go to make up the person you are, if you were to forget you might be more prone to doing them again because you'd forgotten the embarrassment you felt!

We've all done things we'd rather gloss over, some minor and some more significant and perhaps even hurtful to ourselves or to others, we are all human. So, take a last look at them for what they were, think about how you felt then and tell yourself how you're not going to feel like that again if you can help it, then box those feelings up for a while and move right on.

    Good luck.

Only time can heal those wounds. Give it time, eventually you'll move on and focus on other things in your life. Unfortunately, you can't just forget things that happened in your life unless they are too unbearable...

We've all done embarrassing things, trust me, I've been there and done that...but don't worry, time will move on and you will no longer have to deal with it. You may still recall it every-now-and-then but remember to try not to obsess over it, it'll be harder to forget about!

Your past makes you who you are. Sometimes you need to learn from embarrassing situations.

That being said, the only way to forget is through amnesia or blackouts, both of which would affect your life more severely than the memories.

Each one of us tries to forget the past embarrasing things. We have to talk about it with a very close friend so that we can relieve from the very burden of keepin it a secret with oneself. We should take it as experience so that repetition can be controlled. Also remember that you are not the only one who did wrong but in general all do so at every phase of life. also develop postive attitude toward things from now... best of luck..

    1. The embarrassing memory occurs. Face it. Maybe even write it down.

    2. Analyze it. You analysis should be this: "I've learned my lesson. Yes, it happened, but I don't need to think about it any more." Write down your analysis.

--the writing makes this cognitive process more effective--

    3. Replace the troubling memory with a good thought, a positive one. Like, for example: "My future will be better because I learn from my mistakes. And, I AM doing better, and becoming stronger every day." Write this down TOO and repeat it, with feeling, every time the thought tries to sneak back.

it would be super to miss the previous and circulate on. I agree on that. yet on the comparable time, I disagree. reason some issues are like a scar, stain that heals yet takes its time. that is not common to miss issues in case you have been with the aid of a lot. i've got finally moved on from my previous, in any different case i exchange into caught there for years.

The past can't be changed, worrying about it is redundant. Think about what you can do in the present, or future, instead of what you should have done in the past.

Your past is a part of your future.

We all learn from the dumb mistakes we made in the past so we can do better in the future.
