Is it too late for obedience school?
I have a three year old neutered male pembroke welsh corgi named ein. he's not a bad dog, but his listening skills leave something to be desired. is it too late to enroll him in obedience school?
Excellent! I realize that him not listening is my fault, lol. I'm more of a cat person so i'm not really sure how to handle him sometimes.

My 4 1/2 year old Corgi went back to obedience school after I fostered several particularly unruly Corgi rescues. It has made a world of difference!
The first night he decided to be class clown and I figured I was in for the longest 6 weeks of my life. He settled down after that and his overall behavior has greatly improved. Corgis do extremely well in group classes where they can see that other dogs also have to mind.
I would second what someone else said. Training doesn't stop in class. Telling the dog what you want him to do, and praising him when he complies, is a lifelong process. I can walk my two Corgis off leash, tell them to stay when a car approaches, and they freeze until they are released. When I say "come" they know it means now and not later. Good behavior means a much better canine companion.

It is never too late to put your dog through any type of obedience training. But remember that obedience school is just a start. You need to be very persistent and occasionally tough on the dog. Practice giving your dog praise and occasionally treats when he listens and he'll be more likely to start listening to you.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://tr.im/eh4rl
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Every dog needs some type of training. The first class I ever took a dog to was https://tr.im/trainadog
It's a very basic kind of class. They will help you with your dog, and show you how to work with your dog at home.
They'll also answer any questions you have about your dog's particular problems and how to handle them. The most important thing in dog training is to be consistent and work with your dog at home on the lessons. The PetSmart class teaches sit, down, come, and the very basics every dog needs to know. They will also help socialize your dog. You are unhappy with an untrained dog, and believe it or not, the dog is actually unhappy to. You need to take your dog now, as the older he gets, the harder it will be to correct your dog's bad habits. Plus the classes are fun for you and your dog. My dog went from that first PetSmart class on to advanced obedience classes. You might also contact your local humane society. The one in my area offers obedience classes with a very good trainer at a reduced price.

It's never too late to train a dog! And your dog is still a young dog. Obedience classes would be a great idea. It's never too late or too early to train a dog.

It's never too late for proper training. But you'll have to be very serious about it and make sure you practice at home what he learns in class. So many people just bring them to class and don't really work with the dog much. The most important thing is that you work with him.

Never too late! May take more work on your opart to help him understand, but both of you will be happier for the efforts!

I do believe so.
Obedience school is for young (baby) dogs. My Labrador Retriever went to Puppy School.. And she only went to the "first" school.. Your dog can go all the way to "Puppy High School"!
But I am sure that there are Obedience Schools for adult dogs too!
