what kind of stainless steel swords can be used for full contact combat? carbon stainless steel or regular? ?

i use to do sword fights years ago with steel swords, you are better off with pugpaws2 advice and go with the wood swords, it's much safer and much less getting stitches or worse, because of an accident or the sword breaking.

Neither. There is a reason that good fencing swords are not made out of stainless steel. I've seen perfectly good fencing blades snap from a good beat attack. Stainless steel would shatter, like Pugpaws said. The only advantage of stainless steel is that it doesn't rust as easily. Get some real steel instead, if you must.

Stainless steel swords are the most dangerous in that they have a bad habit of shattering if used for any kind of cutting or weapon to weapon contact. Some people have gotten severely injured because of this. Best to stick to quality steel. Even then swords should only be used by those that have had proper training in their use.

Swords aren't really ment to be hit against each other except in fencing.
