i have 5 months to lose 30 pounds. how should i go about that with at least 6 pounds a month... HELP?

i am 14 years old

5'2"

and i weigh 160 as of today >:(

i would like to lose 30 pounds by June.

thats about 6 pounds every month.

of course losing more would be great but i'll take what i can get.

will eating healthy and excersising for 30 minutes everyday except saturdays help me to acheive my goal?

and heres what i ate today:

breakfast: Bowl of Basic 4 w/ Skim Milk

lunch: Salad from Subway w/ a bottle of water

snack: 1 apple(medium size)

dinner: along with sneaking a couple bites, we are having Chicken Casserole. and a bottle of water

we are having a movie night so i will have plain popcorn and some more water.

about how many calories have i had today?

please answer ALL questions.

    Salad is good - but try and make it yourself, not get it from Subway - fast food place salads always have way more calories and junk in them than you would think possible.

    Eat lots of fruit and vegetables (instead of eating less, just eat more healthily), and go jogging or something.

    Try and work up a sweat, as you lose calories much faster when you're huffing and puffing along ;)

    And good luck, but at some point look at yourself and think - this is a good weight, I'm going to stay like this - don't try and keep going down.

    There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

    1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

    2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

    3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

    These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

    To get to your goal weight by June, there's two ways you could go and I think either way will work for you. First of all, my best suggestion is to learn to eat healthy.

    That means understand the food pyramid, the food groups, the recommended servings, etc. That is how you should eat for life! If you eat that way and have 3 small, healthy meals a day and 2 small, healthy snacks, you will lose weight. Each meal should be less than 400 calories and each snack should be about 100-150 calories. Eating highly nutritious foods is the key, so think in terms of lean protein, veggies, whole-grains, fruits, low-fat dairy, and heart-healthy oils.

    The second option is to do a short-term "drastic diet" that is designed to last for 2 weeks max. This would take off the most weight rapidly. There are several on the site under "Diet Plans" but my favorite is the 5-4-3-2-1 diet.

    You get to pick what you eat, but you're going to want to pick highly nutritious foods to keep your metabolism working efficiently. Again, the "eat healthy" page can help you determine what highly nutritious foods are, if you need help with that. If you go on the short-term diet, then once it's over, follow the guidelines on the "eat healthy" page.

    Make water your main source of hydration and save the sweet drinks (even diet) for special occasions. Eliminate as much salt and sugar from your diet as you can.

    The biggest component to fast weight loss is going to be your workout. You will want to make sure you do a good (30 minute minimum) cardio workout every day for weight loss (3 times a week is sufficient to maintain health). Activities that use the large leg muscles burn the most calories. These activities also tone the lower body quite effectively. Think in terms of power walking, jogging, biking, skating, swimming laps, jumping rope, dancing, racquetball, and jumping jacks. To make sure that you're burning fat, you need to be sweating and huffing and puffing. In addition, do some good stretches and some strength training.

    Be blue! Weirdly, azure shades have been proven to possess a positive effect on your may to exercise regularly and withstand bad foods. So, wear azure, eat from blue plates and watch the pounds drop off!

    "How to lose weight very fast" is a question anyone wanting to lose weight would be asking. Let's face it, who would want to use the stairs in a 30-story building when there is a better alternative of getting from floor to floor called elevator? "I sure as hell would rather the luxury of that elevator". I am sure like me; you would gladly jump on that elevator - which is an indicator that as humans, we are always looking for the easiest option of performing a task. With that in mind, I can go on to ask this question: Would you like to lose weight without exercising?

    If you answer is yes, let me say this before I go any further: "there is no magic-wan or magic formula that will cause all of your body fat to be "zapped off "instantly! If there were any, you would be out searching for some magician - wanting him to use his "zapper" to "zap" you, Instead of sitting there reading this article. But there is really a way you can lose a lot of body fat without exercise.

    I would definitely stick with lean meats, salad and fruit. Exercising is very important, so you should be active in school sports and activities. Your energy level will determine how many calories you should consume. Just make sure you keep your energy level high, as this will help you stay active throughout the day. Good luck!
