What was the view out your bedroom window, when you were growing up?

There was a row of tall Elm trees lining both sides of our street. I remember the summer I read about 15 Nancy Drew books and watched my cat play with squirrels in the treetops. Your Plumeria trees and mountain view sound wonderful! I wanna go to Hawaii this year even if it means doing it on the cheap!
