Why do Pictures of God?

Not that people want to admit, but He and Zeus does resemble like each other.

Seriously, old, wise and white-haired men were the epitome of a father figure. therefore, Gods are often portrayed so.

God is portrayed not just as Zeus in a lot of pictures, but as the persona of "the wise old man" which is not limited to a certain God, but to many of many cultures.

Zeus looked like an old man. You think anyone pictured as an old man looks like Zeus??

Because Michelangelo painted him as Zeus on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Google search "Creation of Adam" and you'll see the painting I'm referring to.

I always think peoples pictures of the Abrahamic God look like Jerry Garcia.

Alot of people see their god as a fatherly figure so they paint the traditional image of a father at that time period. A bald white bearded guy.

i'm Agnostic, and for this reason don't have self belief in one specific God. i don't have a picture of God in my techniques, yet I do have self belief in something after dying, and that i've got self belief that's staggering for the truthfully solid, and terrible for the truthfully undesirable. that's all i might desire to comprehend.

That's like saying, "Why do most people assume Indian people are terrorist because they happen to wear a turban on their head. Is it because their too lazy to come up with their own way of dressing up or do people really think their terrorist?"

no one really knows what he looked like. there were no pictures back then. today they r just pictures of what people think he looked like. in every country, he looks different. but no one really knows

And please tell me how you know what Zeus looks like...
