  • What do you call a woman who steals someone's husband?

I thought you called her a Jezebel, but when I searched the internet, I saw that a Jezebel was more a woman who tried to control. It is a woman's name that has come to mean a husband thief.

  • Looking for the words to an old poem?

My mother used to quote lines from a poem my grandmother would recite, probably from the late 1890's the line went: "My mother made because she knew, I was going to speak to you. Don't you wish you had one too? I'll bet you do!"

Does anyone know the name of the poem?

  • Help interpreting an omen?

I was driving my kids to their Aunts house, where they were staying for a week. On the major highway (6 lanes), the traffic backed up. I was in the middle lane, and our lane came to a dead stop. Everyone was trying to get out of our lane, and I realized that there was a broken down vehicle blocking everyone. Very dangerous situation. I called the vehicle in so the people could get help.

A week later, after I picked the children up and was taking them home, same thing happened.

I immediately felt it was a message from spirit, but I'm having trouble interpreting it. Anyone who is sensitive to omens and messages, please help me.

I'm thinking it was a message from my mother, who died last month.

  • We are building our first dollhouse from a kit. Question about wood filler.?

My 12-year-old and I are building our first dollhouse kit, Storybook Cottage from Greenleaf. The instructions recommended getting wood filler, but nowhere do they say where to use it. Is anyone experienced with these kits able to tell me what you used the filler for?

  • Submissive/aggressive dog problem?

I have a 4 year old pomeranian that I had since she was 8 weeks old. I think this dog is insane. She only likes me, but will tolerate my 2 daughters (ages 20 and 11). If anyone comes in the house, she will bark and growl until I order her to stop. However, if I'm not home, she runs and hides when people come in.

If someone tries to pet her, she will run to me. Once on my lap, she acts very aggressive, but only when I'm with her. If a visitor gets up or moves suddenly, she will bark and growl (but only if she is on my lap, or between my legs).

This is a good dog otherwise. Never goes in the house or destroys anything. She will sit with me for hours and let me pet her. This dog was NEVER abused or mistreated. The only one who is mean to her is the cat, who thinks the pom's tail is a big cat toy.

So basically, she is aggressive only from the safety of my lap. What can I do to stop this?

  • Ceromancy- Seven knob candle?

I've been burning a seven knob candle to bring love into my life. On the third day it burned fast, but only the inside of the knobs. There looked like there were 4 knobs left, but it was just the hollow, outside of the knob, it burned down to second knob.

Does anyone know what this means?

Please, I'm a practicing pagan, and I don't want to hear from anyone who wants to change my religion. It's been tried before, by better, and it wasn't successful then.

  • I removed an interior doorknob, now I can't get into the room, help?

The door knob to my daughter's room was stuck. I couldn't open it. So I unscrewed the screws to get to the innards, but the knob on the other side fell off. The side with the spindly thing is stuck in her room, which I still can't get into.

The hinges, of course, are on the other side of the door.

How can I make the lock mechanism retract so I can open the door and get the rest of the door knob?

  • What do conservative Christians think about an openly Pagan politician?

  • Question for Pagans about names?

I've been a solitary for many years, but just now I'm getting involved with other pagans. And I've noticed that everyone seems to have a pagan name.

I'll understand if you don't want to share it, but can you tell me how you got it? Was it given to you by another pagan? Or did it come to you during meditation or ritual? Or some other way?

  • About Christians, but anyone can answer?

If every time a believer or someone interested in your faith asked a question, people from other faiths jumped in and said that your faith was evil, would you get annoyed?

Well that's what some of you are doing to the rest of us.

  • If Jesus' words in the Bible are symbolism why not the creation story?

When I was Catholic, Protestants would say the the communion was not the body of Christ, and not at the last supper. Jesus was using allusion and symbolism.

If Jesus' own words are not to be interpreted literally, then why is the creation story (6 days of creation 1 of rest) taken literally?

  • Question about Christians?

Why is it that almost all the Christians I've met in real life are nice, kind and non judgmental. But most of those I've seen in R&S are intolerant, rude and sometimes just mean.

Is it the anonymity of the Internet that allows this to come out? Or are people who live in my part of the world just nicer?

  • A question for fellow pagans/wiccans?

Christians, please don't bother. Some of your brethren have already called evil, vile, sinful and a sister to the devil. I've heard it from better than you, and it hasn't shaken my faith, so just pass on by, OK?

Has anyone tried to invoke the goddess Panacea for healing purposes? Have you ever invoked a god/goddess for healing? I've only done ritual for protection and giving thanks, this will be my first one for healing, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
