Why are Atheist so adamant to declare the absence of GOD?

Oh, dear. Actually, the question is really phrased wrong, to tell you the truth. We don't declare the absence of god, because that would mean acknowledging a former presence, or even just existence. We deny that a god ever did or will exist, therefore making it not an absence but rather a physical impossibility; a false belief.

I am adamant because religion leads to violence. Bible-thumping Christians or Catholics are quick to persecute Muslims for terrorism, and (if you're smart), you hate Hitler. Hitler killed Jews (a result of religion). Terrorists bombed our country because their religious beliefs tell them that we are wrong. Let's not forget the Crusades... and the Inquisition. And your religious beliefs provoke you to deny civil rights to gay people, and women. The list goes on and on. THAT is why I am an atheist.

I prefer to take responsibility for my own life, and my own actions. I would rather not allow blind faith to rule me and decide my route.

We only declare the absence of truth. There is no evidence today that such a being ever existed, not to mention that other dude Jesus, or Yahweh, or Allah or whatever else you people wanna call him.

Use your time wisely now. Go to a library, and read The Descent of Man and On the Origins of Being by the great Charles Darwin. While your there, grab Richard Dawkins ' The selfish Gene' or 'The God Delusion'

Warning, the last one will make you wonder why you've wasted your life worshipping, when you could have been living.

In simple terms academia states that in the absence of proof of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable proof is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence.

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one!!! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!!

At best he was an amalgam of those others!!

Pilot is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!!

Why are Christians so afraid of people who simply do not believe in any god?!!!! Surely it can only be because they are so afraid that atheist are right and they are wrong or it would not bother them!!!!!!

Why are you so afraid? Why do you hide from solid archaeological and theological evidence?!!

They're no more adamant than Christians are at proclaiming the existence of God. Why are they so adamant? Because they think they're right and there's nobody threatening them with death if they don't convert.

Because we know we are right and want idiots like you to know it too. Let me ask you, why are theists so adamant to declare the existence of God? They are much more vocal in their attempts to "save" atheists. What a load of bull.

Last time I checked, Christians were a LOT more vocal about their beliefs than Atheists.

You know, you could change one tiny little word in the phrase from Psalm 14:1 "The Fool Hath Said In His Heart, There Is No God." you can change one tiny little word there and it changes the meaning completely, of course in favor of the atheists.
