Ron Paul supporters, did you see that Ron Paul supporters took majority of L.A. GOP leadership?2010 looking up?
http://www.therightperspective.org/?p=740
"The coalition of Ron Paul supporters, calling themselves the Freedom Force, took many grassroots efforts to effect change. 29 out of 40 of their candidates won offices on the Central Committee, and an additional 14 won through write-in ballot.
New RPLAC Chairman Glen Forsch has pledged in a press release to return the party to core GOP values, and find candidates who “will carry the message of freedom, prosperity, and peace”. CFR members will not looked favorably upon."
What do you think?
Hans R - I'd support Ron Paul in 2012, but the point isn't him personally, but the principles and policies he espouses. Rules were broken across the nation to limit his delegate count, and we need an even playing field to get anywhere.
Got mice - if there is a better candidate than RP, even with age factored in, I will certainly vote for them.
And we need more party positions across the country. That adds up to national party influence. I don't know if you know how blatant some of the stuff was in the election - like party leadership turning off the lights and fleeing when RP was getting a majority of delegates. We'd like to be able to make sure the lights stay on.
What happened to Rat?
Swaggerman I was initially speaking of the 2010 elections. One person isn't enough. Then we kind of got off on the 2012 Presidential election.
slew, me too. I had heard Obama was considering him for something. I hoped it wasn't anything very important, but that we might get rid of him that way.

Is that great or what? We all need to work on that in our own areas, to take back the party which has been so craftily, and so heinously, hijacked, just like the radical leftists have hijacked the Dems. Not that they weren't pretty leftist to begin with, but I guess the weak-mindedness made them a better mark. All that means is that the Republicans got infiltrated by the entitlement crowd, which is all for keeping their jobs and their control, and has no desire for either real representation--at any level--or real public service. These people in all their ugly guises just need to be gone, the sooner the better.
Good for you guys, and let's all get on that bandwagon and begin taking our party, and our country, back. Before it's too damn late.
Or, if that fails, we could just start a grassroots party of our own. We could call it the Tea Party, and run on the same tried and successful platform as the original: No taxation without representation.

I've been trying to do so when and where I can. I usually try to wait for about 30 minutes to an hour after I see a Ron Paul question to give plenty of time for other people to respond so that I clear up as much as a I can the first time.

Well, we need them to put up a decent Mayorial candidate. THe corruption of Villaragosa is obvious, but the paper stated that he is pretty much guaranteed a new term. I'm tired of the city handing over large somes of money to developers and then crying that we have no money.

You mean 2012 not 2010. And yes I can see myself supporting him. I like the way he thinks. He's a class act and very smart. Did you see him debate Billo "the clown?" It's too bad he didn't get the GOP nomination. He would've stand a fighting chance against Obama/Biden. Also he's smart enough not to pick Palin!

I'm delighted! This is what the Revolution is all about, we need to start at the local level, and increase our ideas rapidly into the federal level. Restoring true American values, and educating the public are very important tools so we can succeed nationwide. Thanks for the news!

A parched tongue is grateful for the scantest mist of rain. And so we are, in this case.
I do SO hope we can best the media at opening eyes and triggering curiosity.
We are our own defense against this governmental crepe. But the images and sound-bites of media remain vivid in people's minds and pique the emotions they were designed, choreographed and performed to pique.
"Logic out, emotions in - Citizens lose & Governments win"
Up until that instant when people turn-tail against the media and think for themselves, we're scrooge'd. But in that instant, and beyond (because, once it happens, the cat's out of the bag), we're back on our path to restorations of self-government.

Wonderful ... a start at wrestling the party back from the big-spending, big-government, anti-American globalists and banksters.
It shows PEOPLE HAVE THE POWER if willing to put in the effort to use that power.
Let's keep it going.

DAR, I don't really care for Ron Paul personally, However you are right,
His and other Independents had there delegates not counted, shifted,
and just plain stolen, The two party machine in this country has to be
stopped. This Charade of not allowing the 3rd party candidates into the
so called media debates is BS. The third party folks would be the only
ones telling the truth, They would be the ones lighting up the big 2 so
people will know there voting for scum. Obama bought this election
fair and square. Should have never been able to get out of the Primary,
To many people asleep at the switch,
He talks about transparency in his organization. Why wasn't it in
effect when he bought the election, Then we could have decided then if
he was the cheap con artist from Chicago like the rest of the folks
in the Chicago Machine, Good luck on your effort to keep things in
view,

Finally. Let's bust up some neo-con punksters and replace them with Conservative Jeffersons and Franklins.

A) Historically the republicans are much more competent and viable on the state, county and municipal levels than they are on the federal level. So I wouldn't put too much stock into the L.A. leadership change.
B) Dr. Paul will be a bit too old for a run at the White House in 2012. That is too bad because policy wise, I think he was one of the top 5 candidates in the race for 2008. He was definitely the best candidate that the republicans had.
EDIT: What needs to be done is a supreme court challenge to the BS rules that the Republicans and Democrats have set up to make it impossible for a third party candidate to have any chance.
The rule of having to have a minimum number of Electoral College votes to win also needs to be abolished so that a third party candidate has a chance.
