No, he threw shoes at Bush, he threw shoes at all Americans.

Correct? No, the guy's a journalist. Words should be his weapons. It would be just as easy to make Bush look foolish by asking him a difficult question about the war or Iraq, or whatever.

Am I glad that this guy showed the world what many Iraqi's think of President Bush? Yes, absolutely.

I don't necessarily agree with his tactic, but I agree with the sentiment. How could you not? The United States Military has occupied this man's country for the last 5 years because of the decisions of President Bush. I'd be pissed at the guy who did that, too...if I were in his shoes.

No. It was very unprofessional. Remember, the journalist's job is to report news as it is, and not put his/her personal input into it. The function of the media at that press conference is to inform the public of what's going on in there where the regular person is not allowed to enter.

I don't know how people can call him a p***y journalist. It took a lot of balls to do what he did. He's not insulting all Americans by the act nor is he being disrespectful. A president is still a goddamn human being not some sort of deity. People wouldn't freak out if a random person threw a shoe at another on the streets. Bush is a dirtbag (does anybody still deny this?) though those dodges were pretty impressive, and how he handled the rest of the speech was sheer professionalism.

If anyone ever threw a shoe or anything else at Saddam they would have been dead within 60 seconds. The guy who did this is a coward because when Saddam was in power he would never have even mentioned Saddam and Shoe in the same sentence. History will judge George Bush, not some woos journalist.

  • Would hitting you in the chops with a shoe be justified? This question reflects badly on your sense of right and wrong. I can't stand Obama but I would not support someone tossing a shoe at him (or any other object for that matter).

Do all of those who answer "no" here also hold the view that the murderer of any member of their family should go free? After all, Bush is a mass murderer in the eyes of most Iraqi's - and in the view of most of the world for that matter. A quarter of a million Iraqis have been killed in the war.

It's easy to discuss style here when you don't have to look at family members lying dead in the street.

hell, i think we could solve our national dept by charging $100 per person to chuck a shoe at bush. i'd say it would take 2 months to come up with the $6 trillion.

No it is the heighth of incivility at best and landed the journalist in jail. What did it accomplish? Some ho-ho's and money to the thrower's attorney. Big deal.

Throwing shoe cannot be justified but what Bush did cannot be justified either especially supporting the illegal Zionist State of Israel
