I've never had much luck with restore points, but you can factory reset most computers by hitting F11 in the first few screens while its booting. It depends on what type of computer you have though and if they included a recovery partition on your model.

OK, first, doing a system restore to an earlier date will not get rid of viruses, it just rolls back the system files and registry to an earlier state, nothing is deleted so the viruses will happilly sit there. If the key strike is F3 you need to press it as the PC begins to POST (ie when the HP Splash screen is displayed) This will bring you into a restore session which should allow you to restore the pc to it's factory state. You will more than likely loose everything on the C Drive. If you have a D partition then there may be infected files on there. You need to scan that area as soon as possible. I would recommend going to www.antivirus.com and running the Housecall from there. It is an online virus scan that is free and has saved me in the past. Good luck

No. You can do a system restore through windows. Pick a date from a week or so ago and see if it helps. May not.

You should have system restore in control panel or system tools start from there.
