How much is my taurus pt 917 c 9mm pistol worth?

I am moving out of Florida, I need to sell my taurus pt 917 c 9mm pistol. I figure I would go to a gun store to sell it, I dont want to get ripped off. How much money do you think i can get?

I have owned it for no more then 7 months, and have taken it out shooting 4 times

    PT-917 COMPACT

    - 9mm Para. cal., DA/SA, 4 in. barrel with fixed sights, rubber grips, 19 shot mag., medium frame, blue finish or stainless steel, 31.8 oz. New 2007.

    Grading 98% $400, 95% $350

    Add $17 for stainless steel.

For used price at a gun shop, figure 10%-20% less than the figures above.

I have a Taurus 911SS and a High Power. I carry the 911, and it's a really great firearm. Accurate, reliable, decent enough trigger that I haven't had to have it fixed. But it can't compare to the High Power. If the 99 is a 6 on a scale of 1-10 the scale isn't big enough to hold the High Power.

If its the gun i think it is, it should sell for about $480. A gun shop will not give you much more than about $250.

They may agree to hold it and sell it for you for a set fee- like say $50. Selling it used and then deducting $50 may only leave you with about $300 at best.

A private sell would be your best bet.

you'll be lucky to get $325 from a dealer, cause they have to mark it up to make their $$ too or it is not worth it for them.

You will be better off trying to sell private party.
