Laptop that will play WoW:WotLK at med-high settings?
I have looked online and either other folks answers are out of date, or they refer to a site like canurunit.com. The thing is, I don't have a laptop yet so those sites won't help.
I am aware that WoW doesn't require a whole lot in the graphics area, however since I am used to playing on my desktop (that has a 9800gtx) I need at least something that will run on medium to high settings, especially spell detail.
I raid and so I need steady FPS, i also need to be able to see spells at close-to-max setting via the in-game video options. I am looking at $1500 or below. I'm solid on that cap, as i really only want to spend 1k or less, so recommending anything over the 1500 range is useless.
Please state if you (or someone you know) have or had the notebook if you do have a recommendation. Although i consider myself somewhat tech saavy (i have built all my desktops), the notebook area is new territory for me. I've been in a few to replace hinges and the like.
If you know of a good base notebook, and can also recommend a graphics card to upgrade to - this would work as well just so long as the combined price is in my range.
Laptop integrated graphics confuse me, I'm only familiar with PC card model numbers/specs - so specifics will help.
The laptop will be more of a "get out of the house" project so i can visit with people, have a solution for those boring people who insist you visit them (you know the type that want you to suffer the boredom with them), and still make my raid commitments if i'm out and about.

For the price, you're going to have a lot of trouble finding laptops that will play WotLK at decent settings. Laptops are much more expensive than equivalent desktop units, though it's really quite hard to find laptops that are just that.
Also, laptops can be very difficult to upgrade, so you'll need to take that into consideration. I've got a laptop myself that I play WoW on at med-high settings, but it cost me about $2500.
Are you looking for a desktop-replacement sort of laptop or just a mobility one?

Integrated graphics cards are cards built on to the motherboard chipset. Traditionally, integrated graphics cards are of poor quality.
