  • Had a seizure for the first time, all tests came back indicating I'm healthy. Driving?

I haven't been to my follow up appointment yet but initially the Dr said tn law says 6 months no driving. Is that set in stone if all of the tests: Blood, EEG, MRI, CT, and heart monitor came back healthy? I'm not epileptic nor have I ever had a seizure before now.

I was on wellbutrin XL 450 mg daily but it wasn't helping and we're nearly positive it caused the seizure as it lowers the seizure threshold. I only weigh 130 lbs.

There has to be something I can do to get back to a normal life and drive again.

  • Approved for Intermittent FMLA, can i be denied for a specific request if I have time left?

I've been approved for FMLA (intermittent). I was just curious, if I have the time left and I request it properly- Would the group administering the FMLA have any reason to deny my request?

  • Dry clean only, but cleaners say they can't without bleeding?

I bought a college type sports jacket last year. The shell is 38% wool, the rest is polyester with some acrylic knitting. The care instructions say to dry clean only, however the cleaners say they can't clean without the dark blue (shell is dark blue and black) will bleed over the stitched on white lettering and possibly the white stripes on the collar and cuffs.

How am I supposed to wash this? I figure I can hand wash the collar and cuff areas as they feel like normal material, but I'm a smoker and pet owner and would like to also get the smells out of the rest of the garment.

  • Ok, all of these cell phones but...?

Do any really bring anything new to the table? I've got an original droid - it's great. Rooted and running custom roms yada yada.

I get a call from my carrier about an early upgrade. After talking with her about potential phones, the question hit me: "Why all these new phones that just randomize the same feature packages in a different shape or color or form factor?" Where is the innovation?

Flash did wonders for smart phones. It made web browsing on your android and iPhone a near PC experience. But I'm trying to find a valid reason why I should upgrade if there is any. Now I know apps can do a lot, but i'm talking built in features specific to that phone model.

Higher res cameras, faster processors, and longer battery life do not justify an upgrade for me. Are there any features out there that really push the evelope? (Voice command has been around for a long time so I do NOT consider SIRI to be a worthy reason to upgrade either).

  • I'm a huge RPG fan, should i get a DS/3DS?

I love RPGs, JRPGs, turn based, action, you name it. Doesn't have to be flashy or jaw-dropping graphics. I've been reading that DS is a gold mine when it comes to rpgs, so I have a few questions.

    1. Are the RPGson the DS any good or are most of them a generic regurgitation of others?

    2. Are there any RPG exclusives that i just have to have if i get one.

    3. Never been a huge fan of handhelds - what is your opinion of playing on such a small screen?

    4. Portable devices are horrid when it comes to battery life, how long can i expect to play unplugged?

And of course the initial question: Would you recommend getting one?

  • Is it Wisdom tooth or TMJ?

Please read the entire situaton before responding.

So i've got a partially erupted wisdom tooth that hasn't caused any problems in over a year. A few days ago I woke up with extreme pain and throbbing in the entire left side of my mouth. Not a big deal I thought, it will go away - it's just my tooth coming in. The pain spanned my whole left side of my jaw area BUTthe pain was definitely centralized in that tooth area.

A day or two passes and the pain started to die down a bit, but all of the sudden I can't open my mouth more than about a half inch. When trying to open it, I get about halfway or less and something tightens up on my jaw (muscle or other connective tissue) and causes tremendous pain right there by the tooth. I can relax my jaw, and pain goes away now. All in all this has been a week, but jaw probs for about 5 days of that. I don't grind my teeth that I am aware of.

Now i've done some research and I'm having trouble figuring out if this is my tooth, or TMJ/TMD. I'm not good at going to docs or dentists like I should and I've moved towns and several years has passed since I went to either so I don't have a "regular" doc or dentist.

Should I go to the Dentist because I thought this all started from my tooth, or a Doctor because my mouth won't open? I'm worried if I go to a dentist that they won't be able to do much of anything because I can't open...

  • Regarding insurance, under what circumstances is arbitration mandatory in the state of TN?

Studying for a license test and there's a question that is not answered specifically in the study material.

The question is which of the following statements is incorrect?

    1. arbitration is generally not binding on either party

    2. the parties must agree on the selection of the arbitrator

    3. arbitration is mandatory when a party seeks compensation for an uninsured motorist carrier

4 arbitration is only mandatory when the parties cannot agree on the settlement of an uninsured motorist claim

*Reminder this is for the state of TN.

  • Optiplex GX260 no sound?

One of my co-workers irritated the boss-man by not answering the phone due to listening to music. Boss-man goes and disables the sound on the computers.

Now, boss-man is gone to a different dept.

I’ve double and triple checked to make sure the mute is not on, the device is enabled, I downloaded the correct drivers (using the service tag), the volume is up, onboard sound is enabled via bios, soundmax is listed as the default playback and recording device, etc.

So i decide to email the old boss and see if i can get the fix- he simply tells me to reinstall the drivers from the Dell site. At this point, i think I'm about to go crazy as every single test I do says the device is running properly and yet no sound whatsoever.

I get sound from headphones but not even system sounds when the headphones are removed.

i've restarted 10 or more times and reinstalled the drivers multiple times (drivers obtained using the service tag).

    Any help is appreciated.

I’ve even done a ->run->dxdiag (diagnostic tools with audio test tone) and still no luck.

    Dell optiplex GX260 (work comp)

    Soundmax integrated audio.

  • Laptop that will play WoW:WotLK at med-high settings?

I have looked online and either other folks answers are out of date, or they refer to a site like canurunit.com. The thing is, I don't have a laptop yet so those sites won't help.

I am aware that WoW doesn't require a whole lot in the graphics area, however since I am used to playing on my desktop (that has a 9800gtx) I need at least something that will run on medium to high settings, especially spell detail.

I raid and so I need steady FPS, i also need to be able to see spells at close-to-max setting via the in-game video options. I am looking at $1500 or below. I'm solid on that cap, as i really only want to spend 1k or less, so recommending anything over the 1500 range is useless.

Please state if you (or someone you know) have or had the notebook if you do have a recommendation. Although i consider myself somewhat tech saavy (i have built all my desktops), the notebook area is new territory for me. I've been in a few to replace hinges and the like.

If you know of a good base notebook, and can also recommend a graphics card to upgrade to - this would work as well just so long as the combined price is in my range.

  • 5 years later...........?

So I had moved to another state and started dating my next door neighbor. Things were wonderful. Every relationship has its ups and downs but I was in love with this girl.. bad. She did the little things, such as bring me hot soup when i was sick, rub me after a long day's work, etc. Well, a severe situation came up and I had to move back to my home state.

The only reason we weren't technically together was the distance. Over the years we kept our feelings for one another until she finally told me that she had found someone she was dating. Communication slowly started to fade until I hear she is going into the armed forces, and she is getting married.

I about crumbled. did the only thing i could and that was push her away to forget about it all. Well here it is 5 years later and she is going through a divorce, says her soon-to-be ex is not a good person and she is sorry. she is now stationed in my hometown (ironic?, fate?, coincedence?) and wants to see "where I stand" about my feelings with her. I let her know i'm still in love with her but being friends with her hurts me and deep down i can't take it. I want all or nothing. She says she is relieved to hear that I still care for her and wants to meet up. We plan on going to dinner/lunch as soon as she gets in town to "discuss". I have always been open with her and I guess I'm just looking for advice. Should I persue? I've been single for years (by choice) and she is in a position that could compromise my composure and all that I have worked for to get this strong and self-sufficient.

  • 1360x768 via VGA, only 1280x720 (720p) via HDMI?

    | LTV-32w6 | Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.2GHz | ASUS M2N-E | ASUS EN9800GTX+ GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB | BFG Tech BFGR650PSU 650W | Raidmax Sagitta case |

When i connect the tv/monitor via VGA (DVI to VGA adapter) i can set resolution to 1360x768 however when I connect via HDMI (DVI to HDMI adapter) I can only get 720p- is what the tv shows, 1280x720 is the highest resolution available on the display options on PC.

As my vcard has only DVI/S-vid out and my set only has vga/HDMI in, I cannot simply run an HDMI/DVI/or VGA straight from source to set. I read that DVI/HDMI adapter does not reduce quality since both signals are digital.

Why the lower res on the digital signal when it's supposed to be superior?

  • Asus 9800gtx power requirements?

    raidmax 450w power supply

    AMD athlon 64 x2 4200 2.21GHz Asus M2N-E mobo

250g Sata HDD (believe its Maxtor)

*Currently running nvidia geforce 7300GT card

I usually play WoW and although i have low frame rates at some times i generally have a smooth experience. Just bought Fallout3 for PC and it runs. plays good... i just know i'm not running at optimal performance.

I want to get the 9800gt, however I am concerned with my PSU. I have just the hardware above installed (floppy as well). Wondering if 450 watts is going to be sufficient. I have read that 450 is min, others have stated 600w+ on into 700w range is needed. I think the latter is a little overkill, however If you can provide some insight that would be much appreciated.

  • Help with 360 networking, please.?

ISP:comcast, Ambit u10c018.80 modem, using 2wire 2701hg-b router. All connections wired. Vista.

When I am only connected locally through the router and have my modem disconnected I am able to access the router via 192.168.1.254 and set the firewall to allow access to the 360. I have all the media sharing rights I need, just one problem. When I connect my modem to the router it changes the IP of the pc from a standard 192.168.x.x to one such as 68.53.23.xx.

When this happens, I am no longer able to navigate to 192.168.1.254 (router config) the new address the router has, similar to the new pc IP above does not work either. The PC "sees" the 360, however when tring to get on live or media share the 360 will not connect to the computer. When mapping the network it shows the PC and 360 behind a switch, which leads to the gateway and finally the internet. I get a MTU error when trying to connect to live and a general "make sure all cables are connected Blah Blah" message when trying to connect to the computer. I have internet access on the PC no prob.

I have the router set to allow the 360, which it does when my modem (internet access) is disconnected. Any help would be appreciated.

(to clear some possible confusion on the 2wire modem/router: It was originally used as my dsl modem/router when i had ATT however now I am using comcast cable and simply using the router part of this equipment.)
