Just call him by his given name. Not unless he has a nickname. It doesn't sound like you feel comfortable calling him anything else. After awhile you will probably have pet names for each other. It will happen naturally. One day you just might say sweetie....

Just think up a good name that goes with who he is. My friends at work call me Shaggy, just since I have so much hair, looks just like Shaggy from Scooby Doo haha. Try something like that.

Make a variation of his real name and call him by a nick...usually you just go with what comes out naturally. I have never thought about what to call someone, it just happens.
I call people love and doll...I always have.

base it on what you think of him inside and out, how you feel about him, how he makes you feel you will find a name
here's something that will help you make a list of pros and cons this might be bore but you'll get through it

I have a guy friend...strictly platonic & always will be...I call him boo...he actually likes it. I think that whatever you call him...outside of his name...it should be original & come from you. That way....you'll be sure to remember it.
