New Year's Eve Outfit...? Makeup?

Question

So New Year's Eve is always a huge deal to me since it's also my birthday. I always go out and have a good time with friends, but this year we're planning something different. We are going out to a lot of bars/clubs downtown with some prissy, stuck up, celeb wanna-be people (honestly, that's the best way to describe them). There will be a lot of picture taking since I'm bringing my camera, my friends are bringing their cameras, and we might have a semi-professional photographer with us (one of those photogs who takes high-quality photos of people at clubs). Everything sounds kind of cliche to me personally, but I've had good times in such situations before. Also, since tickets are extremely expensive and we might be able to get VIP and a limo for free than it might be worth going.

Anyway, back to my point. What I want to make sure is that I look good, especially because of the photos. I planned out an outfit and I want to get opinions on this. Also, I am having a makeup dilemma.
Here is what I planned to wear:

I also plan on wearing a bra with straps underneath since it will make it look like a dress with straps, plus just in case any slip-ups occur I won't flash the whole world.)

Now for makeup... I was thinking either going with a heavy smoky-eye black eyeshadow. People say that my eyes are "exotic." I don't know why but anyway... wearing heavy black eyeshadow really makes them stand out and I like the way it looks. But I also have this bright pink shadow that I happen to love, but it does not excentuate my eyes as much at all (especially in photos).

The outfit is great! I think it's very black and would look really good with different colored jewelry... 

go with the pink eyeshadow and dark heavy eyeliner for your eyes..

omg cute outfit! the only thing is that I would add some color!!!! Still go with the smoky eyeshadow look, but I would change the shoe color or the clutch color because you don't want to just be wearing the same color! I have to say that I love the dress though! :)

Way.. to much black  maybe try putting on some different colored jewelry. like pink or silver. That will be cute. But is your going to wear the pink eyeshadow were pink jewelry, or even with the smokey look wear pink or silver jewelry.

I love a smoky eye.
I think you should add color to the outfit, maybe in the accessories? There is too much black. If you do go all black...I would at least have color on your eyes.

the dress in kinda cute...if you do wear it wear it with colored heels, like pink or something (that'd be cuutee).

before I saw the eyeshadow I thought it was too much black..but then when I did see the eyeshadow I loved it because the pink will really brighten it up more..but the only thing I would suggest is wearing hot pink heels that match the eyeshadow instead. (:

I like the outfit but I think you should have a different colored necklace, there's too much black.
I also think that you should do the smoky eye. I love the way it looks.

Do something bright and fun with your make-up because your outfit is all black.
You  might even consider adding a bright flower or clip into your hair.

I love the outfit but ALL of it is black so maybe have pink shoes and pink clutch to go with the pink eyeshadow - which i think is great.  OR You could have everything the same but have a pink clutch and the pink eyeshadow.  I hope that made sense.
