Can i use Water repellent spray for leather shoes (KIWI) on non-leather shoes?

i just bought2 pairs of non-leather shoes, and my mom only has a water repellent spray for leather shoes. wouldthis still work?

it's like pvc fake leather i think!

    what are they made of ? it won't work on canvas, that is too porous.

    PVC is waterproof already. spraying it on will act like a polish

    I think it should if the shoes would absorb the spray somewhat...like cotton or a natural fiber. I would say give it a good spraying and it should work. Since it is meant to not leave circles and drips on leather I think it should be fine for other materials. Also, be sure to use that stuff outdoors ...be careful not to breathe it ....water repelent and lungs dont mix especially the aerosol kind.
