Can I boot into an external hard drive with Windows XP on it from my Mac? If so, how?

    No.

    BootCamp only works from the Original Primary Internal StartUp Drive.

    Even if you set up the external as your primary OS X startup Drive, you still have to maintain a minimum OS X install on the internal to Support BootCamp ...

    Know this doesn't help that much ...
