Will The NHL Gain TV Viewers ?
as the public moves from the traditional screen to HD? I enjoy watching ice hockey; but, have never been to a rink. I find, after ten years of enjoying the tv games on regular screens, that the puck is still somewhat difficult to follow because the game is so fast. My guess is that a lot of sunbelt, greenhorn types, such as me, would have a better viewing experience on the newer screens. Opinions about the newer tv screen and the growth of NHL outside its traditional markets?

I think lots of people don't watch hockey because it is difficult to keep up with, but if they get a HD TV they may start watching some more hockey.

Yes they will,if the media would promote the NHL the way they do football.
