converting metric tires to inches?

How big in inches is a 265/75R15 tire in inches? Is it a 31x10.50 or is it smaller than that

    diameter 265 * 0.75 * 2 / 25.4 + 15 = ? compare to 31 inches

    width 265 / 25.4 = ? compare to 10.5 inches
