With 6000 dollars Should i buy motorcycle or Car. ?
I m from India and have just started doing PhD in USA. i have 6000 dollars. Should i go for Motorcycle. I can drive motorcycle but i had never drive car back in India. My work place is not far from my apartment. In kentucky, there are 4 months of winter. I am confused. I love sports bikes. Back in India, I was not able to afford such bike. In US i have opportunity to buy a good motorcycle. Please suggest how feasible it would for me with motorcycle. please also tell me how to cope with winter while driving motorcycle

With $6000, you get crappy car.
With $6000, you get a pretty decent motorcycle.
Car = more safety
Motorcycle = less
There are pros and cons, so you can choose.
I would say car.

You will not want to drive your motorcycle in the winter. I would suggest a car. Perhaps purchase a motorcycle as well when you can afford it again. Drive one the motorcycle in good weather and the car in bad weather.
Good luck to you!

We all know we are more at risk when on 2 wheels - we haven't got as much protection as a car with airbags. I'm sure statistics will tell us loads of bikers die a year - sometimes it's our own fault, sometimes it's somebody else's. Yes we can't put the weekly shop on the back seat and no we can't take the whole family out but who cares!!!! Once you're out on the open road, none of the above matters - it's all about the ride. I'd rather die young and happy than live a long life worrying about the world and all that's wrong with it!

I think maybe you should Buy a good used small P/U and a good used small bike.that will fit in the truck.I'm sure you can buy both for $6,000.It's not wise to drive a bike in the winter months.You can learn to drive a vehicle through some driving schools and I 'm sure the school you are Attending can help you with that. Good Luck

Buy the car and after the motorcycle. The car is a neccesity and the bike is an extra.

you don't ride a motorcycle in the winter. It is dangerous. I would take some driving lessons and get a driver's license then get a small car.

motorcycle on the short term. the fuel is cheaper and so on but when you get friends coming over and so on you will need a car to transport and to transport things from one place to another where as on a bike you cant carry much.

Unless you are using a trike, don't try to use a motorcycle in winter in KY. You will get yourself or someone else injured.

Go for both. Look for each used low miles and have them checked out before you buy. People need money and hard time making payments so do both.
