Nobody wants to buy my idea for a solor powered flashlight. It would save batteries and money. Know any places to try to sell?

I know what ya mean, I made water batteries, that use no salts, acids or chemicals in them other then plain water. And they supply power non stop for years, as Ive ran a motorized rotating stand on a single water battery for 5 years. Ive powered wall clocks with them, and led lights. I even made a fund raiser to try to get up some money so I can make the water battery more compact. But no interest from anyone yet. I would have thought that a battery that supplies power for many years without needing to be recharged would have got interest. Strange how the real world is.

While a good idea, it just is not practical. It would mean that the owner has to leave it in sunlight to charge, and people just are not going to do that. The flashlight that uses the basic electric generator principal is practical because it can be used any where, at any time, just by shaking it for a minute or 2.

Not sure how effective a solar powered flashlight would be, however there are already flashlights in existence that run off of Faraday's principle of induction and don't require batteries. Weirder products have been successful though, who knows.

I would try a bicycle store...but the type of light you are looking for may not be manufactured any longer (but there may be a modern version) ....it connected to the front tire and when the front wheel rotated it turned a wheel that generated power to the flashlight....the flashlight shut off when u stopped pedaling.

IMHO, it's pointless to buy one since nobody uses a flashlight during daytime unless your flashlight can save energy for blackouts.

How about a lunar powered flashlight? Then it will be powered at a time most people would be using it :)
