How much money will Matt Barkley make at USC next year?
Serious question. We all know that USC athletes get special financial treatment. Reggie Bush, OJ Mayo, Joe McKnight (although he sucks) ect... Barkley seems like the next in line. Or maybe the fact that he had a terrible senior season in hs will prevent him from making top dollar like the others I mentioned. What do you think?
His job is being a USC football player. Under the Pete Carrol regime that seems to entitle players to some serious dough
Mayo is still being investigated. The Bush thing was proved but never put on trial. Im not jealous. Im a Nebraska fan. I could care less about USC or the Pac 10. I just think its funny how they are the only college program with a salary cap.

He can't... Mark Sanchez redshirted his freshman year while Barkley is a TRUE freshman this year. You have to be three years out of high school to be eligible for the NFL draft. Since Barkley has been handed the starting job as a true freshman, barring injuries he will have three years as a collegiate starter under his belt before he declares for the draft. I would have a hard time believing that he'd stay for his senior years. Guys that are that ready for the pros almost always leave early. However, the two best USC QB prospects in recent memory (Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart) stayed for their senior years, but Barkley could very well be more accomplished and polished than both QBs were when they became draft eligible. Carson Palmer started as a true freshman, but he didn't really play that well until his senior year, and Barkley is already looking like he's starting to get comfortable. And Leinart always had some questions regarding his raw arm strength, and I never really had that vibe from him that I get from Barkley watching them play Barkley probably has the ability to get drafted after his sophomore year if it were allowed. Hell, if an NFL team got him today, sat him and gave him lots of reps with the 1st team D in practice he could be a starter in a year or two. I don't usually get caught up in the hype of guys like Terrelle Pryor and Jimmy Clausen, and I'm not even a USC fan, but Barkley is legit.

Don't be jealous because of all of the success at USC. Are you an Oklahoma fan? Matt Barkley chose USC because he is from Southern California smart guy. Has anybody ever been prosecuted from the program? Don't think so. Get your facts straight before running your mouth.

Nothing all they get is free gear and crap from their sponsors. the closest thing that they would get expensive is the stuff they get from bowl games.They cant get any money. EX: Andre Smith from Alabama talking to a agent. It's his senior year, last game, and now he's being investigated
