    lolol.....my hubby is rotfl!

He said to tell you she should be proud to have either one of them. ;D

*pssst...you know I favor the Pinto, of course*

Don’t let yourself be deterred by the naysayer who would chastize the Pinto. The ones that didn’t explode were all eventually retro-fitted by Ford to protect the gas tanks.

But here’s the deal with wives (at least as I’ve figured them out): Select a classic car that you think best represents her and reflects her personality, her tastes, her spirit and your bank account.

With so many to choose from do you go with long, low, sleek but cheaply built? Short, squatty rear end, odd-looking, but fun? Dependable, but not much looks? Looks nice, but isn’t very practical? Cute, but won’t hold it’s value? Or a custom built, high maintenance money pit of an Italian job?

Or a true classic, a mechanical legend with ageless beauty?

Get her a bright cherry-red 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible.

Don't get the Pinto unless she's a midget - I tried to drive one and my knees hit the steering wheel. I am only 5"2". My idea of a classic would be a 57 Thunderbird!

Well now let me see....I didn't know those were classic cars.

My very first car was a 72 Pinto, $2400 cash right off the showroom floor. What a gem that was. So I think you could figure out which one I'd pick......it was blue.

The Pinto. And try to keep the gas tank about half full. It's the vapor that will make her just light up over this gift! The liquid gas will sustain the glow.

Get the Pinto Hatchback and make sure that you are the only one that drives the car.

You could try a 1928 Baby Austin, if you could find one. She should be able to lift it into a parking space if necessary. Much easier than the agonizing process most women drivers go through.

The gremlin, although if you have trouble getting either you could always go out and get her a 1980's Fiat Panda.

If you buy her the Pinto you could be "liable" so if you want her to have it make sure she buys it on her own with cash. AND do not be back seat driver in it! (hint hint)

Oh yeah, how about the "denim" Pacer? Schweet!

Get her a one million dollar life insurance policy and the Pinto. She wants you to, really.

Oh no to be really special it has to be a Pacer...if you can't get your hands on that, then I'd get the Gremlin.

You know every girl wants a car that's more glass than metal -the better for all her friends to see and be jealous you know.
