Does this disgust everyone else as well as me?

John Travolta and his wife are greiving and they talk about whether Jett died in his arms? Is this not a violation of any privacy for them? So sad .

    Yes and No.

I think the media can pry too much. But, it's also the price you pay for being famous. It almost an unwritten rule that when you become a celebrity, you understand your private life, might not always be private.

People can speculate all they want. That's fine. People are always going to talk.

In my personal opinion, an invasion of privacy is when there is a violation of personal property or space. If people are illegally on their property or trying to illegally obtain private medical information, then that's way too far.

Speculation or questioning is not invading anyone's privacy. It might be difficult to hear. But, when you're famous, it's the price you pay.

I think everyone is effected by the death of a child, and when it's a celebrity, one many of us have grown up with (remember "Welcome Back Kotter"?), then we feel a sense of connection to the celebrity.

I originally read the child died alone in the bathtub-- that sounded awful. If he did indeed die in his father's arms, then perhaps we can find comfort in knowing he didn't die alone.

It doesn't disgust me at all. I would be horrified to imagine the parents walking in to the bathroom and finding their son dead.

It is sad, but it's part of being in the public eye. Compared to some of the things the media gets up to, this is nothing.

as if it's not hard enough having a child die the press make it harder by expecting answers and speculating.

i refuse to buy magazines because i don't want to encourage this sort of behaviour. if people don't buy magazines famous people wouldn't have this sort of problem.
